Customer Feedback
From helping us maximise our solar generation within budget to carrying out an incredibly fast installation, Jaime, Emily, and the Genr8 team made the entire process seamless and insightful from start to finish! The solar panels have strengthened our business’s resilience to energy costs, and in just three years, they will be fully paid off, allowing us to generate pure profit from energy exports.
This means we can reinvest those funds back into the business to support our growth.
Beyond the financial benefits, our investment in solar power will significantly reduce our carbon footprint, demonstrating our commitment to sustainable business practices and doing our bit for the environment. We’ll definitely be returning for more panels (or even a battery!) in the future!

SYSTEM INSTALLED
We recently had the opportunity to work with 7formation, a Corby-based construction specialist, to deliver a highly efficient 88kW solar panel installation at their headquarters. As a local solar provider, we were thrilled to support a fellow Corby business in making a significant step towards sustainability while also helping them reduce their long-term energy costs.
To maximise efficiency, 7formation decided to carry out essential roof repairs at the same time as the solar installation. By coordinating the project, both our team and the roofing contractors were able to share scaffolding, reducing costs and minimising disruption to the business. A key part of the project’s success was securing funding through the Green Transition Fund, a grant offered by the local council. 7formation won the full £50,000 grant, with £35,000 going towards the solar system and £15,000 allocated for roof works.
Thanks to this funding, the project’s already impressive return on investment became even stronger. The system initially had an already low payback period of 4 years and 7 months, but with the help of the Green Transition Fund, this payback period came down to just 2 years and 4 months. This means 7formation will start seeing significant savings even sooner, making their investment even more worthwhile.
Their annual saving of £11,429 will become profit after this time, and they can reinvest in the business.
The timing of this installation was also strategically important for 7formation. They have recently set up an onsite joinery workshop, significantly increasing their energy consumption. By installing solar now, they are not only covering a substantial portion of their existing electricity needs but also preparing for future growth in demand. To support this long-term vision, we optimised the system by installing larger inverters than currently required, allowing them to expand their solar array in the future without major upgrades.
Additionally, while 7formation chose not to pursue battery storage at this stage, we designed the system to be battery-ready, ensuring that they can easily integrate energy storage later as and when their needs evolve. This future-proofing approach means they will have the flexibility to store excess solar energy and further enhance their energy independence when the time is right.
It has been fantastic to work with a company that recognises the importance of renewable energy, and we are proud to have helped them take a major step towards a more sustainable and resilient future.
